Judge Sue Pullen
Suppresion order Judge Sue PUllen is one of the bleeding heart judges appointed by Attorney General Rob Hulls–The ones who make sure that pedophiles and rapists are not named.
And I have to say that Sue was a bit stiff. It could have been one of the other judges who behaved like Lizz in suppression orders, it had to happen sooner or latter.
Well let me tell you when this sex offender (whose name we can no longer mention) took off from the “Village of the Dammed”, the phones went “ape droppings” with victims ringing up to find out if he was the person who had attacked them or a family member.
I was able to tell them it wasn’t, but why should I have to because of the mentality of some of our judges?
Now only in certain cases should this happen and beleive me this was not one.
What ever happened to transparency?
Notorious sex fiend on the run, but Herald Sun cannot identify him because of privacy concerns

January 29, 2010 12:00AMEXCLUSIVE: A CHILD rapist living in a compound of Victoria’s worst released sex offenders has escaped and is being hunted by police.
But the Herald Sun cannot name the man because a court has suppressed the publication of any information that could identify him.In another bizarre twist, it has been revealed that although the wanted man was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet when he disappeared, it was not equipped with GPS and cannot be used to track him down. A prominent crime victims group said last night it was a disgrace that privacy concerns were apparently more important than protecting the state’s children.
Crime Victims Support Association president Noel McNamara said legislators and judges had created a secret society.
“You can’t have these types of offenders wandering around the countryside and us not being allowed to name them,” Mr McNamara said.
“This was always going to happen sooner or later. The Government is a disgrace for allowing it to happen and the judiciary has to share the blame.
“You just can’t have a secret society with the criminals having all the rights and the victims – and future victims – not knowing where these people are going.”
A County Court judge banned publication of any information that could identify the wanted man under the provisions of the Serious Sex Offenders Monitoring Act at a hearing last September. The man was subject to an extended supervision order and was living in the so-called “village of the damned” outside Ararat Jail when he vanished in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
An ankle bracelet alerted authorities that he had breached the perimeter at 1.50am.
Police confirmed last night that the monitoring device could not be used to track the man’s movements after he left the compound.
At least 22 of Victoria’s worst sex offenders live at the recently refurbished Corella House, the compound outside Ararat Jail. At least another 23 are living secretly in the community. Their identities and locations also are suppressed by the courts.
The runaway rapist was released from jail after serving a nine-year sentence for raping a teenage girl after he entered her room during a burglary.
He breached his parole within 24 hours of his release and fled interstate, but was rearrested within days in Brisbane.
Detectives found him in Fortitude Valley, which has been known as the seedy centre of the city’s sex trade.
One of Victoria’s most senior police called last year for the introduction of satellite tracking devices to monitor the state’s worst sex offenders.
Deputy Commissioner Sir Ken Jones told the Herald Sun in July that ankle bracelets being used to monitor dangerous sex offenders were outdated and “pretty crude”.
“I think 21st Century policing has to be open to opportunities given to us by technology, just as criminals are,” he said.
Australian Childhood Foundation chief executive, Dr Joe Tucci, said privacy was “being exploited by offenders to avoid detection and enable them to continue to offend against children”.
“A transparent system is the only way we’re going to be able to protect children,” Dr Tucci said.
“In this scenario there is a real reason for the media to publish who this person is so they can help police in finding him.”
